Guns in America.

I've thought about and I'm certain written something about this issue in the past, but I decided to

touch on it again today, after this past weekend's tragedy on the Las Vegas Strip with a couple of

YouTubers. This story has been all over the news this week, sadly MSM, but; it is what it is; also,

to continue; as long as the NRA and the 2nd Amendment from the Declaration of Independence

and other important pieces of American history are in the backs of my southern neighbours' minds,

this issue will never entirely go away. Even current second term President Donald Trump is an NRA

supporter, need I say, even type more?, regardless, this issue is still far too important not to touch on,

even though I'm a lifetime Canadian. No other country on Planet Earth has had the very depressing

past that the United States has; between mental health/illness falling through the cracks, guns being

sold everywhere, not enough background checks being done on buyers; especially teenagers, even

illegal immigration, in particular, with Mexicans immigrating north over the southern border with

weapons of all kinds. It has to end somewhere someday, this is societal madness that even U.S.

top officials won't support new gun laws; criminal background checks in particular being the big

one. Young children have died in their school classrooms in America, which is the saddest of all

mass shooting crimes still being committed; yes, crimes involving guns have occurred up here in

Canada and globally, but nothing comes close to the average number of American shooting sprees,

it must stop, or at least be put under more control, with much stricter gun laws and severe penalties

for those caught doing such heinous acts, leave the children and our future generations out of it,

please. The American Senate should at least be able to come to terms with the fact that better and

more widely offered services for people with mental illnesses must be addressed, spend your money

wisely for once on what and where it is needed the very most, there should be no hesitation at all.

If you've read this far, thank you very much, I'll forever be grateful to my readers and supporters of

my literary work; in continuing this piece for the moment however, I agree; people kill people, not

guns or other high powered weapons; however, the mentally ill in our society deserve and need all

the help that they can get, so when they walk into a store or other business to purchase guns, they

will use them wisely, as those law-abiding citizens of the United States continue to do and uphold.

I also have no problem with people buying guns for self-defence. I could type about this ongoing

problem all day, but I should start wrapping this up. I'm also aware of America's very long history

dating all the way back to the days of the Alamo, battles between cowboys and indians in the old

west, but when's the last time that a simple handgun was used in any war?, probably never. Wars

never really solve anything and more innocent lives continue to be lost, which leads me back to

the free and innocent children of society, whether it be in schools or anywhere, these mass murders

must severely be lessened, if they are never to be stopped entirely and unfortunately, have the

necessary programs and services in place for those with a mental illness, and if they won't do it,

someone can then offer to help them get the assistance they so desparately need and deserve to

turn their lives around for the better. Until next time everyone, take care, stay blessed and strong.
